ORDERING
All orders are placed online at www.finefoodspecialist.co.uk
We don't typically take orders over the phone, however If you have any issues ordering via our website we will be able to do this if you have created an account with us.





Once you have placed your order with us, we will send you a confirmation email to track the status of your order.
Please check that all the details on your order confirmation email is correct, including the shipping date, shipping address and phone numbers.
Once your order is shipped we will send you another email confirming that your order has been shipped and we will also supply you with a tracking number.
DPD will then reach out to you on the morning of your delivery, usually by 11am, to give you a timeframe, between an hour, of when your order will be delivered.
You have several options to select a safe place or redeliver if you're not home during these hours.
Can I change my order?
This will be entirely dependant on the products you have requested and the delivery date / method you have selected. Please contact our customer service team at [email protected] to discuss your options.
Where do you ship?
We currently ship only within the UK, excluding Northern Ireland. We do not ship abroad.
How long does it take to ship my order?
This will be dependant on the delivery method selected...
DPD Standard - All orders placed before 11am Monday - Thursday using this shipping option will be dispatched the same day. Orders placed on Friday, Saturday or Sunday will be dispatched on Monday.
Date Shipping and Weekend Shipping - Orders are dispatched the day prior to the delivery date that you selected when checking out. You can double check these dates, by referring to the confirmation email that you will have received when you placed your order.
Same Day Delivery London (Order by 11am, Mon-Fri) - Orders placed before 11am Monday to Friday will be delivered on the same day. Please be aware that if you select this delivery option after 11am on Friday, or over the weekend, that your order will not be delivered until Monday.

What if I'm not home?
You will have the option to choose a safe place or to redeliver with DPD. We suggest to download the app to put in any delivery instructions you wish to.
We currently ship within the UK and Northern Ireland. We do not ship to the Republic of Ireland or abroad.
You may collect your order from us. You will still need to place your order online, when you have done so please contact us and let us know your order number and when you would like to collect your order. Once you have collected your order we will refund you for your shipping cost.
Please note, there is a £5 charge for all cars coming into the market where we are based. Mopeds and bicycles are free to enter.
Our opening hours are Monday- Friday 9am - 5pm.
Refunds generally take between 2-5 working days to process.
CHANGES & CANCELLATIONS
Yes you can. If you get in touch with us before your order is being delivered, (we ask for a least 2 days notice), we can delete and refund you for items you no longer wish for.
Can I change the delivery date?
You can change the delivery date 1-2 days before your order is due to be dispatched.
Can I change my delivery date when my order is in transit?
No you can not, it is too late at this point in time. Please do not try and put a stop, a cancellation or change the delivery address with Pack Fleet or DPD whilst your package is in transit as this could cause your package to be disposed of and you will be held liable for this.
Can I add to my order?
If you would like to add to your order we will need you to place another order. We ask you to then get in touch with us, informing us of your 2 order numbers. We can then merge these two orders together and refund you on one of the shipping charges.

Yes you can cancel your order, you will need to do this at least 2 business working days before your order is due to be delivered if it is a lead time product. Please email [email protected] or call us on 02076272553 to let us know.
PAYMENTS
We accept all major credit cards including AMEX, VISA & MASTERCARD, as well as all debit cards. You can pay directly with your credit card online or through the payment platform of Amazon Pay, Paypal and Apple Pay.
Do you accept bank transfers or cheque payments?
Unfortunately at this stage we do not accept bank transfer or cheque payments.
SHIPPING & DELIVERIES
We currently use Pack Fleet for all our London deliveries. Pack Fleet will give you notification on the day of your delivery regarding the time of arrival for your order. If your Pack Fleet courier is able to on the day of your delivery give you a different time, you may be able to choose to have your package delivered earlier or later. Please note their maybe an addition fee for this.

Same day London deliveries are sent with a bike courier.

For all orders outside of London we use DPD. You may choose from the following options:

Delivery to Jersey & Guernsey and the UK Channel Islands is charged at a flat rate of £70, and is transported by boat on a 2-3 Day Service.
The Isle of Man, Northern Ireland and the Scottish Highlands and Islands are served by our 2-3 Day service to remote areas and is charged at £35.
We use a vast array of different materials to package our products, depending on the product determines what we use.
Frozen Goods – Presently need to go into a poly box, (we are constantly on the lookout for an alternative to these), with recyclable ice packs and dry ice (-63degrees).
Chilled Products – These are wrapped in special air-filled recyclable paper together with recyclable gel pack together this acts like a refrigerator.
Ambient Products- Generally due to the nature of these products they do not require any packaging, if they are glass we will wrap them carefully in padded paper or bubble wrap if necessary.
One thing that is good to know is that we always recycle packaging that we have received from our suppliers, nothing goes to waste, we are always recycling.
How to Dispose of your packaging
HydroPac Ice sheets
The contents are made from a non-toxic, food-safe formulation, they are drain-safe and can be flushed through the sink with running water.
The emptied packs can be recycled at locations accepting 4LDPE plastics for example supermarket carrier bag drop off points.
Gel Packs - in recycled brown paper
The contents are made from a non-toxic, food-safe formulation, they are drain-safe and can be flushed through the sink with running water or put into your garden bed.
The emptied brown recycled paper can go straight into your recycling bin.
Cardboard Boxes
Can be recycled in your bin collection
Polystyrene Boxes
Unfortunately these can not be recycled. They must be disposed of in your black bin or can be re-used as a refrigerator for long car trips.
Currently we do not offer free shipping. If you sign up to our newsletter we occasionally have offers that include free shipping.
We do! Receive your Delivery on a Saturday by selecting Weekend Shipping at Checkout.
We offer same-day delivery to selected London postcodes. Order before 11am Monday-to-Friday for delivery later the same day. (Please note deliveries will be made between 2pm-6pm)

I've missed the 11am deadline only by an hour or so, can you still do it?
Depending on the lead time of the products you want and if they're in stock, we maybe able to accommodate you. Please call us to ask and if we can do it for you we will ask you to place the order online then to get in touch with us with again with your order number. We will then change the delivery date from our end.
Hard-to-reach areas may require a 2- or 3-day transit time. If you live in one of the following locations:
Scottish Highlands & Islands, Cornwall, Isle of Man
Delivery to Jersey & Guernsey and the UK Channel Islands is charged at a flat rate of £70, and is transported by boat on a 2-3 Day Service.
The Isle of Man, Northern Ireland and the Scottish Highlands and Islands are served by our 2-3 Day service to remote areas and is charged at £35.
Because of its proximity to the UK mainland, the Isle of Wight is served by our regular mainland Shipping services.

There is a lot of misconception and confusion over: Can I Refreeze Thawed Products?
In short the answer is YES, as long as your product; beef, lamb, poultry, seafood, meets the following environmental scenarios:
- Your product is still partially defrosted / partially frozen and in its original packaging or freezer bag. You can safely refreeze.
- Your product is fully defrosted / fully thawed but still cold to touch (same coldness as the items in your fridge is a good guideline) and in its original packaging or freezer bag. You can safely refreeze. - Safely re-freezing thawed meat that is still cold to touch is no different than a package of fresh meat you would purchase from the supermarket or butchers where the meat, coming from their chilled cabinet will also be cold to touch
If your product has fully defrosted / fully thawed and is warm to touch/ room temperature with the packaging damaged you cannot refreeze and must discard. Please take photographs and email them to us so we can review it and resend or refund you accordingly.

The video below is an interesting experiment by Guga Foods where Guga sees how many times steaks can be frozen, thawed, and re-frozen before there is a noticeable difference in eating quality.
There is a lot of misconception and confusion over: Can I Refreeze Thawed Products?

If your vacuum pack has come undone and the actual package is still intact, this has happened during transit. Please be assured that your product will be perfectly safe to consume or to re-freeze should you wish too.
Christmas & New Year Trading Period 2023/ 2024
Customers please note that our last delivery day for Christmas will be 21st December 2023
Our last delivery day pre-New Year’s Eve delivery date will be the 29th December 2023
Our next delivery date for the New Year 2024 will be the 4th January 2024
NB: Please note that due to our suppliers closing over the Christmas New Year Period our fresh products such as fish, meat, fruit and veg will be very limited, please avoid ordering these between Christmas and New Year, unless it’s salmon and tuna.
RETURNS
Do you accept returns?
As we sell perishable goods we can not accept returns for the majority of our products. If you would like to discuss this please contact us directly.
If you're looking to return hardware please contact our team to discuss the process with you.
Please note it is the responsibility of the customer to safely return items, we suggest to send items tracked for.
Are returns free?
We do not provide free returns. Any hardware returns returns are the responsibility of the buyer.
How long does it take to process a return?
Returns are confirmed within 14 days of receiving the package at our warehouse.
Once your return is accepted, the reimbursement, exchange or credit will be issued within 14 days of our services accepting your return.
